Blessings A Day 2019-Day 295

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast Cancer has touched my family. My dad has 2 sisters who battled it and won the fight. He also had a sister-in-law who battled it.
My Aunt Eunice was someone that I looked up to all of my life. I spent a lot of time in her home which felt like home. She had a big heart with lots of love to give.
She had breast cancer twice and never let it get her down. She was a hard worker and always put family first. I remember seeing her just days before she passed. She hugged me and told me that she was going to look out for me.
I still hear her voice in my mind. Her NY accent is something that I will never forget. She had a strong faith. Even though I don't ever remember her going to church I do remember her faith in God.
She never met a stranger. She was always making new friends. I am so thankful for the memories that people have shared of how Aunt Eunice touched their lives. It helps me to remember the strong woman who is one of my heros.
