Gratitude 2018 Day 364

Attitude of Gratitude - Day 364

I am grateful for quiet mornings and Sundays. I like the quiet of Sunday Morning so that I can just talk to God about things that are bothering me and that he can prepare me for the week ahead.

Sundays are days too when I am catching up on things that I need to do before going back to work. Yes I go to church, but afternoons are spent doing laundry and other things to get ready for the week ahead.

Quiet mornings are great for me when I can talk to God and meditate. I can leave all my worries and stress at God's feet and he will see me through it. When things are quiet (before the kids are up) then I can more clearly hear God's voice and what he has to say to me.

I am grateful for days like this. Hannah and Austin watching Supergirl, Jairus playing with his trucks, and then breakfast for lunch. We are making the most of this rainy day. Love times like this and this family.

I am grateful for the time I have had off of work, but sad that it is coming to an end. I wish the time was longer, but it is not meant to be. 5 days left till I go back. Winter is the longest time of the school year. Hoping that we don't have much snow this season.

I am grateful for timeouts. That puts me in charge. Lately the kids think that they are in charge of things and we do things on their time schedule. Not anymore. My hope is that the more time that they have to spend it time out the more they will realize that they are not the boss. Going into 2019 with an attitude of I am going to break the cycle and gain control.
