Gratitude 2018 Day 190

I am grateful for the power of prayer. The Bible says that if we go to God in prayer in faith that he will hear us and meet the need that we have. Recently I have been going in faith to God with some needs on my heart. I know that he will meet those needs in his own time.

We need to have faith in God's timing. We need to trust that his time is the right time. We also need to realize that sometimes when we go to God in faith that he has other plans for our needs. He knows better than we what is needed.

Sometimes when I pray for someone I get discouraged at the fact that my prayer was not answered. I realize that I have to be patient and move out of the way so that God can do what only he can do. He is in control.

Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee.-James 4:7

I am grateful for rock and country songs set as lullabies. The kids love them. It helps them sleep. I love them cause I love to listen and see what songs I recognize. Some I do and some I don't. Austin's favorites are the Journey. He loves Don't Stop Belevin.

I am grateful that last week I learned that my Uncle Woodie was right for all these years. He always believed that God was in control of everything in his life and would make a way.

My lesson last week at Day Camp was about Worry. In the lesson we learned that worry is a bad thing. It does not add time to our lives, in fact it cuts off time. It affects your health in a big way.

We learned that instead of worrying about things that we need to talk to God. Austin taught me that instead of worrying to say God is in control. It not only works for worry, but other things that are going on.

The birds of the field and the flowers did not worry about anything in life. They relied on God to be in control. We need to do the same thing. We need to let God be in control.
