I am grateful for small town pride. The high school football regular season is almost over and though EHHS and MHS have not had a very good season they still have the support of the community each and every week. The fans come out to see the game no matter what. Some even listen to the games on the radio.
That is what it is all about. It is not about how well the teams do. Rather it is about supporting the students in our local schools. Supporting the students of our local schools lets them know that someone cares. That the community is behind them and wanting them to do great.
Every child has a story and when someone takes the time to get to know then it gives them the feeling that someone cares and that they can make it.
The pride our county has for the students of Hardy County is amazing. It is great to live in a county where we support the education and advancement of our students.
